For washing out clots
This large glass syringe was used for washing out clots via a cystoscope or resectoscope during surgery.
The connection at the end will fit on to certain endoscopic instruments, and was designed by Sir Eric Riches. This particular instrument was made by the Endoscopic Instrument Company in London, around thesecond half of the 20th century.
This syringe is part of the Roger Feneley collection, kindly donated to BAUS by his son Mark.
