The BAUS Section of SAS and Trust Urologists (SSTU) is delighted to host two dedicated sessions at BAUS 2025, taking place on Tuesday 17, and Wednesday 18 June. This year’s programme continues our commitment to supporting SAS and Trust Urologists by addressing key professional and career development topics.
On Tuesday, our session will focus on empowering SAS and Trust Urologists through national initiatives, including a review of one year of SSTU, findings from the SSTU Census, and the latest updates on the SAS Charter by RCS England. We will also highlight the importance of mentorship and the opportunities with BAUS in professional growth. On Wednesday, we will explore career progression and overcoming challenges, with inspiring personal journeys from colleagues. The session will also feature some updates on the Portfolio Pathway, including insights into the East Midlands pilot and the role of honorary contracts in supporting portfolio pathway candidates.
Following the success of last year’s Portfolio Pathway Workshop, which was the highest-attended skills course, we are pleased to announce its return in BAUS 2025, offering colleagues hands-on guidance for their professional journey.
Through these sessions, SSTU aims to provide SAS and Trust Urologists with practical insights, peer support, and the latest updates to enhance career opportunities and professional development.
