As a Member: Specialist Register you will be entitled to hold office as a Trustee or Council member and to vote in elections and at meetings of the Association.

This category is for urologists who are working in urological practice outside the UK who want to engage with BAUS and British Urology.

International Members are not entitled to hold office or to vote at meetings of the Association.

Trainee members must hold a medical qualification and be pursuing, or wanting to pursue, training in urology in the UK or Republic of Ireland*. All Trainee members automatically become members of BSoT (BAUS Section of Trainees).
Assuming your application is successful, membership will be confirmed and paid to 1 January and will include electronic access to the Journal of Clinical Urology (JCU) and to BJU International through the BAUS website.
You will also be entitled to hold office as a Trustee or Council member and to vote in elections and at meetings of the Association.
Continuation in this category will be reviewed after ten years. If it is felt the member is no longer pursuing a training path they may be automatically moved to one of our other categories. On gaining entry to the Specialist Register Trainees will normally automatically move to the Member: Specialist Register category although Trainees who have not yet taken up a consultant appointment and who are continuing to pursue training, e.g. a fellowship, many remain in the Member: Trainee category for up to 1 year post entry on the Specialist Register.
