1890 International Medical Congress

The 10th International Medical Congress was held in Berlin. 

The medal issued to the members is a small silver one. The medal was made by Otto Oertel, a famous 19th century German medailleur.

At the 1890 congress, famous lectures were given by Joseph Lister on the modern approach to antiseptic surgery and by Robert Koch on bacteria.
