The 1969 BAUS Annual Scientific Meeting took place from 25 to 28 June 1969 at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (pictured upper right), Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.

Other Information

On the evening of Wednesday 25 June, members and their guests were invited by the President and Council of BAUS to a Reception in the Great Hall of the Royal Hospital of St Bartholomew.

The Annual Dinner was held on 26 June at the Royal College of Surgeons, and was attended by 235 members and their guests. During the dinner the St Peter’s Medal was presented to Mr John Swinney.

On 27 June, 123 members and their guests attended a dinner at the Mermaid Restaurant followed by a visit to the Mermaid Theatre (pictured lower right).

On Saturday, 28 June, clinico-pathological demonstrations and discussions were held at Guy’s Hospital (with Mr FR Kilpatrick and colleagues), the Institute of Urology & St Paul’s Hospital (with members of the Consultant Staff) and St Bartholomew’s Hospital (with Mr JEA Wickham and colleagues).
