Designed at the Mayo Clinic
William F Braasch, an American urologist, worked at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.
This cystoscope, from the Leicester collection, was a modification of the Lewis and Elsner air cystoscope and could be used with either air or water.
As far as I can tell, it is a Braasch direct catheterising cystoscope, first designed by William F Braasch, an American urologist, in 1904. Later models incorporated a telescope and were, therefore, termed "indirect".
