The November 2013 meeting, hosted by University Hospital Wales, was held at the Cardiff Copthorne Hotel.
The morning session was opened by Mr Paul Jones from Morriston Hospital, Swansea who entertained the audience with his "STAG (horn stones) experience in Sri Lanka". He was followed by the President of BAUS, Mr Adrian Joyce (pictured right with Professor Howard Kynaston), who discusssed the "The changing face of urology."
After coffee, Mr Nilay Patel from Oxford gave a presentation on "Autotransplantation for RCC", Mr Paul Cathcart (an ex-trainee from Wales) from UCLH talked about "The National Prostate Cancer Audit" and Dr John Rees, Consultant Radiologist from UHW, Cardiff gave a presentation on "PET services".
The paper presentations in the afternoon were well received and the Huw Williams Prize was won by final-year urology ST, Mr JS Phull for his paper on "High-grade prostate cancer with primary pattern 3 (3+5=8): the South Wales surgical experience".
The April 2013 meeting, hosted by Glan Clywd Hospital Rhyl, was held at St George's Hotel.
