SAS & Trust Urologists (STU)

The SAS@BAUS Working Group was originally set up to offer career support & guidance for BAUS members who are Specialty & Associate Specialist (SAS) or Locally-Employed Doctors (LEDs).

BAUS agreed to establish a fully-fledged Section to replace the Working Group, and this section was formally constituted at the beginning of 2024.

BAUS STU Census 2024

The aim of this survey is to get a more accurate picture of SAS & Trust Urologists in each region, to provide BAUS with a better understanding of its current (and future) members’ aspirations, roles undertaken and level of supervision.

You do not need to be a BAUS member to complete the BAUS STU Census 2024. Please share the link for this survey with colleagues in your department working as SAS and LEDs (Locally Employed Doctors) across the entire range of functional levels, from FY1 to Locum Consultant.

The deadline for submission is 31 December 2024

Origins

The Section of SAS and Trust Urologists was formally established as a BAUS Section with effect from 1 January 2024. We have invited all members who have an interest in promoting the objects - namely to support SAS and LED colleagues to realise their full potential as valued and effective members of urological teams - to join the Section.  This represents progression from the relatively informal SAS@BAUS project to a formally-established Section with a defined membership and an elected Executive Committee.
