This fellowship provides comprehensive training in Endourology (lithotripsy, ureteroscopy, PCNL, metabolic stone clinics). We are a tertiary referral centre and manage a range of complex and comorbid patients on a weekly basis in addition to serving the local region for routine endourological procedures. There is also opportunity to be trianed in a range of bladder outflow obstruction procedures (HOLEP, THULEP, bipolar TURP, Rezum, Urolift) if required. We have a longstanding record on creating achievable academic projects for local and international medical students.

Oxford is a leading UK centre for Endourology research. Currently, 5 consultants in Endourology (2 academic) and 4 active DPhil (PhD) projects in endourology. Lots of opportunity in the wider University to collaborate with Genetics, Mathematics, Engineering, AI etc in basic science or clinical research. Additional option to enrol on MSc in Surgical Science and Practice https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/graduate/courses/msc-surgical-science-and-practice This would run as a part time course alongside the fellowship and offer the fellow the opportunity to obtain a MSc from the University of Oxford in parallel to clinical experience. The MSc course can also act as a sponsor for the GMC registration for overseas applicants.
Primary Objective of Fellowship
Ability to run a comprehensive Endourology service independently. Training in research and academic output.
