The main purpose for the post is to develop subspecialist skills in Female, Reconstructive and Andrological Urology. The Functional Urology team work within the Department of Urology and contribute to the elective and emergency care of urological patients.
To perform clinic duties appropriate to the post. These include attendance at outpatient clinics, attendance at day-case and inpatient theatre lists, attendance at clinical meetings including MDTs and maintenance of appropriate records of treatments, including the dictation of clinical notes and letters. To contribute to the teaching of nursing, undergraduate and junior medical staff.
40-70 Penile implants, 20 surgical sperm retreivals, 40+ peyronies procedures, oppurtunity in penile cancer/reconstruction/urethroplasty.
Fully equipped andrology theatres
Attending MDT will be essential for our fellow and there is ample opportunity for research and Audits. We expect the fellow to at least publish one paper during the fellowship.
