DESCRIPTION:This full immersion masterclass is intended for senior trainees (ST6>) focusing on a BPH interest and for urology Consultants wishing to improve their HOLEP skills. Our expert faculty panel are from across the UK, and the techniques taught are internationally recognized and affiliated.\n\nThe masterclass has been structured to provide didactic lectures, semi-live operative demonstrations, surgical video demonstrations and intense simulator sessions on Day 1. Day 2 will focus on hands-on practice on anatomical specimens and Thiel embalmed cadavers to simulate the complete HOLEP procedure. We are fortunate to be fully supported by Karl Storz and Boston Scientific.\n\nThere will be a course dinner for all delegates and faculty.\n\nCourse objectivesTo provide the knowledge to facilitate completion of the learning curve towards en-bloc enucleationTo understand laser physics and the equipment required to perform the procedureTo describe the different techniques (en-bloc, two or three lobes (incisional))To review semi-live surgeriesTo discuss tips/tricks and potential complications of the techniqueFacultyExperienced HOLEP surgeons from across the UK with an excellent ratio of seven faculty members for 10 attendees throughout the course.\n\nCourse Director - Amit Kalpee\n\n
